Cell Balancing

Our proprietary BMS ensures that individual cells within a battery pack maintain uniform state of charge (COC) and voltage levels.  This is critical for optimizing the performance, efficiency and lifespan of the overall battery system.

State of Charge Control

The StackOS BMS controls the SOC of the battery pack based on user-defined parameters or external factors, optimizing the battery’s performance for specific applications or grid requirements.

Data Logging & Reporting

Our BMS comes with automatic data logging and reporting to track performance data over time and generates reports, allowing operators to analyze trends, troubleshoot issues, and make informed decisions regarding the battery’s operation and maintenance.

Temperature Monitoring & Control

Continuous monitoring and control of the temperature levels within the energy storage system to ensure they remain within optimal ranges for performance and safety. Active regulation of temperature through cooling or heating mechanisms to prevent overheating or excessive cooling that can impact the efficiency and lifespan of batteries.

Active and Passive Cooling

Cooling systems actively circulate air around the battery cells and components to dissipate heat generated during charging and discharging process.  Our systems are also designed for heat dissipation to occur naturally by transferring heat away from the components.

Uniform temperature distribution for adaptability

Our TMS ensures a uniform distribution of temperature across all cells and components to prevent hot spots that can lead to uneven wear and tear on the batteries.  This contributed to overall efficiency and performance by maintaining batteries at temperature that prevent performance degradation.

State-of-Charge Monitoring

Our EMS continuously monitors the state-of-charge (SOC) of individual battery cells or the entire energy storage system to ensure optimal performance and prevent overcharging or over-discharging.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis

The Powin EMS incorporates fault detection and diagnostic capabilities to identify and address issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring the reliability of the energy storage system.

The Powin EMS optimizes energy use by intelligently managing the charge and discharging cycles of our batteries for enhanced performance. Our layered software architecture is able to control the batteries down the cell level, enabling the system to respond instantly to changing grid conditions and perform key applications such as peak shaving, load shifting, capacity firming, frequency regulation, voltage control, and many more.
