Powin has confirmed over 4 GWh of orders for our Centipede Platform.

Deployability

This system is fully modular and comes to the field factory built, pre-integrated, and tested in outdoor rated enclosures. Pre-assembled stacks require 50% less time to install on site and localized manufacturing reduces logistical risks.

Safety and Reliability

The new design maintains our focus on controlling fire risk via gas handling and allowing for safe interaction with the system. The maintenance-friendly racking system allows for precise thermal control and an anticipated 80% reduction in replacement time.   

Scalability

With increasing demand and solution capabilities, Centipede is focused on enhanced scalability by using a simple augmentation strategy allowing for the seamless addition of up to 21 stacks per array. 

Stack 700 Series

Stack750 is our first modular product under the Centipede Hardware Platform. 1500Vdc energy solution for 2+ hours which comes in outdoor rated, preassembled, and pre-tested modular stacks with increased energy density, thermal performance, faster install times, reduction in CAPEX, and serviceability. It is available with a 20-year performance warranty.

Powin’s cost effective smart enclosures are a scalable purpose-built battery solution that includes all of the balance of system (BOS) equipment that can be modified to meet local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements. The thermal management of this enclosure has been meticulously designed through optimized air flow paths and intelligent HVAC Control, providing the ideal temperature-controlled environment for the battery. This enables the deployment of Powin’s 40’ and 53’ Smart Enclosures in a variety of different geographical climates.

Stack230E is our 1000Vdc enclosure-based solution for energy applications of 3+ hours, designed to match the 20-year life cycle of solar facilities and other projects.
